Ok, so I'm finally back online

Ever so much has happened since my last blog. So, I told you all about my new flat right? What happened was that the day after I wrote the last blog everyone decided that they were moving out and they wanted to dissolve the lease, so I therefore have since moved into yet another new flat! No, I'm not kidding, I moved on Saturday, after only 8 days in the other flat. Though I must say this place is way better, it has a coal burner with a wetback that heats the hot water, so that equals way smaller power bills and what a wonderful thing they are. My room is even bigger, and it isn't damp, another good point, the shower is nice and big, not small and cramped. The only downside is that the bathroom isn't finished but I can live with that. Oh, and there is also this fan system that draws the heat out of the lounge and into the bedrooms at night to help keep them warm too.
In an amazing coincidence my landlord's partner, whom he recently moved in with is actually an old friend of mine, we lived on the same street and went to high school and intermediate together, being home is getting way scary, almost everyone knows someone that I know, even when I meet totally new people.
So, I started my first prac on Monday, and have had an extremely busy week, at school all day and then planning and writing at night. I can tell you that teaching a bunch of 15 year old boys last period on a Friday is not a lot of fun. I attempted to do this this afternoon and I can tell you that we only got about a third of the work we were supposed to do done today! I have discovered that working after spending all day at school teaching is no fun at all, I was totally dead by 8 last night. It didn't help that annoying little person crashed his car, so therefore didn't come to work, so I had to do not only my work but his as well and I had to close all by myself.
As for finding a new job, I went to a number of places last week and have yet to be successful. It turns out that this is not the best time of year to be looking for work. I might have to give in and go for another supermarket job, but at Woolies this time, since its only a 5 minute walk from here.
Today is bloody freezing, we've had snow down to sea level so far and I should know considering I had to walk home in it. I am, however, very glad that we did not get the -8 degree frost that we were supposed to get yesterday as that would have been absolutely no fun at all.
Ok, and my last piece of news, and probably my most exciting and joyous piece yet is that I am going to be an aunt! Yes, that is correct, my brother and his partner are going to have a baby and I am going to be Auntie Kaz (something that Kat took great joy in laughing about)! Well, I'm excited, they're excited and Mum and Dad are happy that they are actually going to get to be grandparents (I think they were getting a little worried that it would never happen for a while). My aunt apparently rolled around on the floor laughing, but she can't really scite as she is due to become a grandmother any day now.
I think I've said enough for the moment and I feel the need to go and eat something really unhealthy, so I'm going to head off and do that right now, talk to you all soon.
