Earthquake! Earthquake!

In case you haven't already guessed there has been an earthquake today. Well, 2 actually, one just after 6pm and another about 5 minutes ago. So, for once it has been a rather interesting day, a whole lot of shaking going on really. The weird thing is that you pretty much never feel earthquakes in this part of the country, and two in one day is highly unusual.
Yesterday was actually pretty interesting too, it was Dad's 50th birthday, so there was a lot of drinking going on. We had a BBQ at Mum and Dad's place, my grandmother and aunt came up from Invers and quite a few other friends came over too. It was a nice night, not too cold for a change (yey! the weather is finally getting better.), we ate lots of food, drank lots of alcohol and watched a bit of rugby (which we of course won by like 80 points). The only scary thing was a drunk guy who kept bugging me to do dishes, when there weren't any dishes to do and told me that I need to know about all about gold being found in Gabriel's Gully, since I am going to be teaching in Lawrence at the end of next month. He just wouldn't give up, so I turned into my usual pain in the ass self and frustrated the hell out of him, he did give up and leave me alone eventually. (And I helped to build part of a shed too, aren't I a good girl! - don't laugh!)
And the Chocolate cake that I made for dessert ended up being really really good, I wonder if there is any left. Knowing my luck, probably not.
Anyways, I think that covers all the interesting things that have happened over the last few days.
