oh ....

Am rather surprised today, it turns out that consuming a very large amount of alcohol doesn't automatically mean that I will have a terrible hangover, in fact I feel pretty good today, though I am bummed that I didn't win a trip to Japan, the dude who won had 21 and I had 22, doesn't that just burn.
Anyway, gotta be going as Scott and I are heading downtown - just glad that the other blogs finally posted.

piece of crap

the damn thing said it had published but it hasn't, you may get photos from Seoul, over the weekend, as they are not here now, evil bastardy thing - the website, not the computer.

Man

There was no problem publishing that blog today, but the whole rest of the week when I tried, absolutely nothing happned and now it did it in like 10 seconds, evil internet!
Well, since Monday, got a terrible score in the quiz on Wednesday, half of NZ has flooded, I mean it, the river in my hometown of dunedin, which isn't really very deep, no more than a metre of so broke it's rather high banks after a couple of days of torrential rain, thanks for the photos Mark, the one they had on the web gave no clear indication of how bad it really was.
Um, had birthday party at school today, this months theme was easter, so we had an egg hunt (which was basically a bunch of ping pong ball - that I spent hours yesterday colouring - which the kids found and exchanged for candy) and egg painting.
Scott and I are meeting some other foreigners downtown soon, so that's about all for today, talk to you all soon.

Seoul ....

I really like Seoul, it's a great city, can't wait til I have a chance to go back.
So we caught the bus to Seoul on Friday night, after Sarah had managed to delete half of her song from her MP3 player by accident and wanted to hang around her for longer to fix it, fat chance, like I was gonna allow that to happen, we took the adapter with us.
Met Vanessa at the bus terminal, she gave us maps, then we got an the bus, took about 3 and a half hours. Main problem was that the bus was way too hot, first my throat dried out and then my nose started running, yup only took 3 and a hlf hours for me to get a cold (and now today, monday I am still paying for it, so I took a sick day).
So got to Seoul, well motel with very evil and steep stairs, man was it hard to drag Sarah's suitcase, bot up and down them, just before 2am. Then had to try and sleep, small problem - couldn't breathe, so no sleep for me - so Saturday morning, sore throat, runny/blocked nose and headache (sounds like a head cold to me).
So, we got up at like 10am - took a taxi to city hall and went about looking for the national Museum of History - took an age to find - first went to Deoksugung Palace - am gonna chuck on a piture of the throne room, I'm sure you'll figure out which one it is. Then had lunch, and went to seek out the Museum, on the map it looked like it was directly behind the palace, guess what? It wasn't. It was about a kilometre away, evil bastardy place, weren't allowed cameras, so no pics of that - was pretty boring anyway, so we didn't stay long. Next, we hit Seoul tower, got to ride in a Cable car too - had to wit in line for 40 minutes first though. Did you know that Korea is closer to Greece and Italy than it is to NZ, I am currently about 10,000 km away from home. Will put in the picture with the distance to Aucland and Wellington on it from Seoul Tower. Seoul is one amazingly huge city, could fit all the cities in NZ in it and there would still be plenty of space, the view from the Tower is excellent.
So, got back to the motel just after 5, died for a couple of hours and then went out for food and shopping around 8, found heaps of cool stuff, bought wall hangings, paintings, a cool dragon bell, another jewelry box, this time with a peacock on it (my bird). Plus a buunch of other souveniery stuff for everyone else.
Sunday, after another night of little sleep, we did more shopping, then a sudden rain storm that tried to drench us. Managed to avoid most of it though. Came home early xoz I felt like shit, went to be and took a sick day on Monday.
That's all folks!

really quickly

am running late, but couldn't be bothered getting my lazy arse out of bed any earlier, just wanting to let everyone know I'm still here. Am going to Seoul tonight so won't be around for the weekend.
Will give a detailed report on Monday. But we now have a new teacher and Sarah is flying out on Sunday evening, hence the reason we are going to Seoul.

man ...

I wish I could get the photos to publish in the order I want them too but they never do!

The April field trip to ...

the Naju Agricultural Corportation. Well for starters it was a 45 minute bus trip, really annoying, kids all excited and loud, the return was better as they were totally exhausted as this picture of our newest student Peter proves, He's so cute.
The most interesting part of the day was the discovery of an erotic garden, yes, I did say erotic garden, you just have to see these two pictures. Sarah and I couldn't believe and thank the gods tha kids couldn't understand it.
There was also a lot of other more appropriate stuff such as huge butterflies, totum poles, rather large animals and things like that.
added a picture of Noddy class, my favourite class to teach . The back row from left to right are: Andy, Travis, Rachel, Frank, Judy and Sonya. The front row is: Peter, Lily, Ellen, Mandy and Steve. Sorry mum no pictures of me today, maybe tomorrow
Over all we had a fun day, well Sarah did until she fell over and almost broke her ankle. But we thought that the director should cancel our hogwand classes in favour of letting us sleep, unfortunately she did agree with the rest of us. We thought it was an excellent idea.

just a quick one

not a lot happening here, haven't turned on the tv in a month, Sarah and I have been watching black adder on dvd, some advice, don't watch the 2nd season first, it's the best one and makes all the others seem a tad boring, especially season one.
Did a lot of nothing last weekend. This weekend am going exploring with Carl, and the weekkend after we are going to Seoul, as Sarah figured she should go at least once before she left. Um, things have turned to total crap between her and her former employer, but she can explain that in her own blog.
My school finally found another teacher and he could be here as soon as next week, yey!
Good news that Mark and Sera are finally engaged, I must say it toook them long enough!
Um, we're going to Chumdun again this week for the quiz, which is why I have to go now, as Sarah will come through my door any minute and say "are you ready to go?'

thought it was time to update

well, what a week. First it absolutely pisses down on Tuesdayy and it turns out that biking to work on such a terrible day is not actually a great idea, I was totally drenched within a minute and after I got to work I spent most of the day drying out (note to self: when it is pissing down with rain, you will stay drier if you walk to work).
Then on Thursday as I went to unlock my bike to go to work, a mere 20 minutes before my first class I might add, the key breaks off in the lock, I actually shout something a long the line of "you fucken bitch" (I know this as Sarah informed me of it later in the day), then practically have to run to work. On last night I when I was doing our weekly shopping I bought a new chain (a combination one, not a key one) and a hacksaw. It took me 2 nights to sawing to ge the damned thing off too, there were halliujahs all around when the damn thing finally came off.
Oh, and my latest order arrived from amazon, that has to be the one highlight of my week so far, well that and the fact we had some really good pizza for dinner tonight.
Me is real tired now, am going off to read book 11 of the Steph series. Night!

It's been a while

Thought it was time I updated, not that I have a lot to say about anything.
Well, haven't updated as I've been in bed with a migraine for most of the weekend, that and I couldn't really be bothered. Was not at all well at work on Friday, by the end of the day everything was almost completely blurry.
Um, didn't do much at the weekend, Sarah and I went out to dinner on Saturday night, spent rather a lot of money too, bad us!
On Sunday, didn't do a lot, we were going to go to the movies to see prinde and prejudice but that would have required us moving and we really didn't want too.
Talked to Nick and Kat, as Nick was bugging me about when Kat was returning to Taiwan and I couldn't answer, man he's thousands of k's closer to her then I am.
Have to go am cooking dinner for Sarah and I. Later.
