What a week!

So, yeah, it has definitely been interesting. On Monday I signed the lease on my new flat, so i have somewhere to live and am moving the week after next. It's fortunate that I got there first otherwise it may not have been me that had somewhere to live, as there was also another room available in that flat, though i was informed that someone was found to fill it today coz there was a slight problem with the person who had originally wanted the room.
So, that problem was solved, unfortunately it wasn't the only problem. For the first time in years (as in more than a decade) I had a really bad asthma attack, I couldn't breathe, ended up getting really dizzy and lightheaded coz i wasn't getting enough oxygen, was so not good. Hence, I am not allowed to work this week, which actually quite nice, but not a good thing coz i don't qualify for sick pay or another month or so, though i don't really intend to still be working there a month from now.
I think that covers most of what has happened this week, or as much as I'm going to publicise anyway. I was informed that I had to say that Mum is actually quite useful to have around, so she should be happy now that she has had a mention.

I have to move

My landlord is evil! He's trying to incrase my rent, which for another 2 months is illegal
, he's been trying to get me out of here with only 5 weeks notice when he legally has to give 3 months. I've decided to give him what he want, but not in a very nice way, as in I think I'm about to become the biggest pain in the arse in the world at the moment. I have however found somewhere to move to and am doing so in 3 weeks time, which is a sooner than he had intended, so he gets less rent. The only real downside to the place is that it is way closer to Mum and Dads. I shall however be flatting with someon I know from high school, so that shall be good.
In other news, it is friggin freezing and I have to go and walk to work, so I'll write a better update later.

Finally, some time to sleep

I finished the big evil assignment at 4pm on Thursday afternoon, good thing too seeing as I started work at 5 and I didn't fancy staying up half the night to get it done. Did have to go to Mum and Dad's to print everything, but it was the putting everything together so that it was in some kind of logical order that finished at 4.
Also, as it is now Saturday, I have finished all my work for the week and I don't have to return there for another 120 hours (5 days). Tomorrow I shall be sleeping, so wake me up and you shall die, I'm so not kidding about this either. Last night was absolutely wonderful too, I went to bed and read, the went to sleep, it was great, I didn't have to study or anything.
I wish I could say the same for this afternoon, but I unfortunately had to meet with Kathy and Steve so that we could get some more of our presentation done, it's almost finished, thankfully, and then we only have to present it on Wednesday and almost all of my assignments for this semester are done, isn't that incredibly exciting?
Um, I can't even think of anything to complain about today, the weather is good, so I'm not particularly cold, but now that the sun is going down I'm sure i won't stay very warm for very long.
Anyway, I'm going to go and read some more and tomorrow I think I'll have a Pride and Prejudice marathon (BBC version, of course). Doesn't that sound like a fun way to spend a Sunday? Later everyone.

Still in study mode

Yup, that's correct, am still studying like crazy. Wrote an essay in like 2 hours yesterday morning, well after spending most of Tuesday reading through sources and making notes, but still 1500 words in 2 hours is pretty good, well technically it was only 1493 words, but I figure that was close enough.
Unfortunately, I haven't really had a lot of time to do much else lately, as in I go to class, come home and then study, or I get up, study, go to class and then come home and study some more. Today is an exception coz I don't have class but I do have to go to work tonight. I'm hoping that I can get this Resource Folder done by about 3pm, coz then I can go over to Mum and Dad's and print it out this afternoon, instead of having to do it tomorrow when I'll have even less time.
So I guess I need to get my A into G and working. I hope that some of you are at least having some fun. And it will be interesting to see whether or not Kat gets some flatmates, 4 I think she said, that will definitely be interesting coz she has been living alone almost as long as I have, and now I have to get a flatmate too, bugger!
Ok, going to study now, coz if I don't I'll have to call in sick at work in the morning and that would not be a good thing, believe me.

Wonderful weather

By some miracle we have had great weather for the past 4 days, it's almost unbelievable. Other than that, I woke up with a headache this morning, so I went back to sleep, the last thing I need is a migraine, so class just wasn't as important today as feeling good is.
Spent yesterday, which was Sunday, in the library again, well a couple of hours anyway. Then spent some time with my aunt and cousin coz they came up from down south for the night. Got to have a roast last night, that was way good too.
The weekend was real busy, seemed like I didn't stop the whole time, it was like the rest of the week really, not a lot of fun, but I did get a lot done.
Pete came over today, he's renting out the other room, so, if any of you know anyone in Dunedin, NZ looking for a place to live, let me know, coz I have one available here. He's moving in with his girlfriend permanently so, he wants someone in here to get more rent and pay the share of the bills that he's been paying. Plus, I won't have to be alone all the time anymore, which will be great for me, and probably won't be cooking for one anymore either, that will make a nice change.
Anyway, time for me to get back to the grindstone, lots of work to get done, 2 assignments due this week, what fun!

I have a new residence

I've moved into the library, though which one I'm not sure as I've spent most of my time in 4 different libraries this week, doing research or my resource folder for Social Studies and my essay for classics. Today has been my first library free day, and I spent all my time typing up the stuff that I have researched thus far, well until I went to work any way.
Was up till 2am this morning studying, and then some evil person (I promise I won't mention who, Mother!) called and woke me up at 7.40am, as you can imagine I was not impressed.
Have been in trouble for not having enough time to spend with other people this week too, it's not my fault that I have 4 assignments due this month and 3 of them are critical to me getting my degree in teaching, as in if I don't pass them, the chances of me passing the course at the end of the year aren't nearly as good as if I get good marks in them now. Hence the reason for all the study, so if you don't like it, well, tough, coz I ain't gonna stop doing it. There is good news for some, I'm having dinner with Sera and Mark tomorrow night, so someone other than a librarian or a lecturer does get to see me this week. People at work don't count coz I was in a daze the whole time I was there tonight, I think I was mostly asleep.
It has gotten damn cold, though I should have a heat pump here next week, so then I can be warm again, and I can warm for a lot less money than when I use the heater, so yey! Something else to yey about is the fact the the toilet has finally been fixed, only took like 2 months for that to happen too.
My weekend is going to be extremely boring, as after work on Saturday it will be back to the library, this time the Public Library to evaluate resources there, since I should be able to take out both the Education Libray and the Uni Library after I finish work and class tomorrow. Yes, I have a wonderful day planned tomorrow, work from 7-12 in the morning; class from 1-2.30 in the afternoon; then libraries until I have to meet up with Sera and Mark for dinner at 5, what fun!
Kat, I think my life has just become more boring than yours for a while. But if you are bored you can write my classics essay, which is on funeral pottery from Late Geometric Greece, it's due on Wednesday, don't you think that sounds like a real fun idea?
Ok, I think I'm done with this rant, as I can't think of anything else that I can be bothered complaining about, doesn't it suck when you are too tired to even complain about things? I mean, that is usually a totaling inalienable concept when it comes to me, but not today, as i can no longer be bothered. Later all!
