Hiya all

Not really a lot to say, am over half way through summer school now and am not as yet failing anything, which is a good sign right? Doing pretty well actually.
Decided I was bored yesterday so I called Kat, sh'e going to China for a week next month, luck person that she is (and no that is not was I was originally going to write). Whereas I get to sit 2 exams while she is there, isn't that really fair.
Anyway, should have broadband up and running at home today, another very good thing, just have to figure out how to get the modem to work with the router, I'm sure I'll figure it out eventually, after I bug Mark a bit for some assistance.
Was supposed to go sailing with Dad again at the weekend, but yet again we did not go, stood in the wind for a couple of hours though, before it was decided that we weren't going. Ended up going to the movies to see Happy Feet with Mark and Sera instead, wasn't too bad of a movie, but I must say that Pixar does animation a lot better.
Work is going okay, nothing really interesting happening there, except for the fact that we should have new uniforms in a few weeks, no more putrid green, I'll get to be all black instead, a much better colour, if I do say so myself.
Um, what else, knee is much better, and the weather too for that matter, it was supposed to rain for the last 2 days, but hasn't so I must say that I'm quite pleased about that. I guess that's all for today, talk to you soon.

Happy Happy Joy Joy

I got an A+ in my first Maori assignment, yey! Got it back in my test t0day, so I guess I find out next week what I got in my test, I only had to repeat 3 of the 10 place names so hopefully I did okay. Also get my essay back for education today, would have got it yesterday if I hadn't been sick, did you know that throwing up is not a lot of fun! So, I may as well head over to the education department and see how bad my essay really was, I just hope I did well enough to pass, coz I think it was a terrible piece of work, one of my worst ever. I get that feeling that the fact that I didn't care how bad it was at the end had something to do with it. Well, I intend to do better next time, which means I'll start the research for it on Monday instead of the day before it is due, yeah I know, I'm lazy.
And aren't I lucky, now I have to work for the next 3 days, though it is good getting the working bit over and done with in 3 days, meaning I have 4 days off before I have to work again. Ok, going to find out how terrible my essay was now, catch you all later.

It was just a suggestion.

And I made a very valid point when I said that things are bad indeed when my life is more interesting than anyone elses! Because (a) I'm stuck back in Dunedin again, (b) the weather has been pretty crappy, and (c) I have tended to be the most screwed up one out of the lot of us. So, therefore when my life is working out well, something must be wrong with the universe.
Hell, Sera and Mark were so happy about it the other day that I was actually a little scared.
So, anyway, had plenty of study to do, handed in my first essay in like a year and a half on Monday, I thought it was terrible, but I guess that I'll find out today, well if I go to class, I'm not feeling to good this morning, as in I spent about an hour chucking, not sure why that is, just that it is, must have eaten something bad yesterday.
As for the interesting stuff that has been happening here, I'm not telling, hahahahahaha!

What's going on?

Why am I the only one updating? I mean other people must have something interesting going on in their lives. Hell, I'm back in boring old Dunedin and I'm still finding things to write about, or should I say complain about, it's been one of those weeks. Almost everything is sorted on that front, it's not StudyLink holding things up now it's the university, will hopefully have some money tomorrow. The tooth problem however is not going to be going away quite so easily, it's either going to have to have a root filling (really really expensive) or get pulled and replaced with an implant (less expensive, but still too expensive). Am I going to be so broke for a really long time, and I've just found out about half a dozen new books being released over the next few months, it's so not fair! So, at this point donations would be very welcome!
So, anyway, should really be getting back to work, have lots of study to do before class, and I start my new job tonight, so that should be really interesting, especially consdering how much my shoulders are hurting right now, oh joy!

What a wonderful start to the week!

Yup, sarcasm at it's best, but I'm sure you all caught that. So what has happened do you ask, well, where do I begin?
First, I was sitting eating my lunch, studying and minding my own business and one of my teeth cracks, but can I go to my dentist, no, he's still on bloody holiday isn't he. So, I either have to wait a week or find someone else, I have a feeling I'll be calling other people in the morning trying to get an appointment.
Second, I have a message on PIMS saying that I need to check in with StudyLink about my student loan approval, as there may be a problem. Well, guess what? I have not one problem but two. StudyLink is having computer issues, but they don't know what is causing those issues, they hope to have it fixed within 24 hours (yeah right!); and the University has stuffed up too, something to do with Summer School fees payments, not sure when they will have it sorted. I am supposed to be paid my Student Allowance on Wednesday, wonder if I will have any money this week at all. I'm not liking my chances much right now.
Don't you just love Monday's, I really should have stayed in bed this morning, I mean I could have lived without all this shit quite happily, being oblivious is really nice sometimes. I even could have lived without the 7 pages of notes that I had to write in my Maori lecture this morning.
I think I might have to buy something incredibly unhealthy on the the way home this afternoon, oh wait, anything with sugar in it will only make my tooth hurt more, oh crap, whatever am I going to do now .................................................

I have a job

It's not the best job in the world, it's in the produce department at Pak n Slave, sorry Save. It required very little effort on my part, as in I walked in handed over me CV, they called me the next day and had me go in for an interview, there was really very little interviewing. So, I shall now be working on Thursday nights, Friday mornings and Saturday mornings, the exact number of hours I can work without affecting my student allowance, so that's good. Would rather not be working Fridays or Saturdays, but it's a job and unless I can be bothered finding something better I'm stuck with it.
Other than that, everything is good. Study is going well, it's not too difficult even if there is a lot of it to do. It's only the weather that has been really disappointing, coz it definitely doesn't feel like summer at the moment.

Summer School, Day 3

I have thus far established that I have 10 assessments to do in the next 5 weeks, the good news is that there is only one day where I have 2 things due on the same day, yey! And only 2 weeks where I have 3 things due each week, aren't I just too lucky.
And did you know that there is a Maori Alphabet song, I found out today that there is, coz I had to sing the damned thing over and over again. Those of you who know me, will know exactly how much I enjoy such things, as I would never in all the world use sarcasm to mask just how much I dislike something, now would I?
Other than the singing, things aren't going too badly, am a little confused about some of the preparation I had/have to do for my Human Development tutorial this afternoon, but they can't complain, at least I tried! I'll figure it all out eventually, well I hope I will, otherwise I may have a problem or 3 mightent I.
The weather was really good for a couple of days, so you all know what that means right? Yes, you are correct, it's raining today.
But, I must say I really like my new flat, and Peter is a really nice guy, we seem to be getting along well thus far, so all's good at home. Got an email from Mum today telling me not to go shopping until I had talked to her as she has bought me some more food, yey, food is good.
Um, can't think of much else right now, other than that I was good and applied for a job yesterday, will hopefully hear back soon, otherwise I'll have to around other places, which I hate.
Ok, am going to do some illegal photocopying, since I don't want to pay for a text book that I'm only going to use for 6 weeks and then probably never look at again, this would be my way of saving money, I think it's a great idea, and it's not like I'm going to be selling the stuff I copy now is it, I mean who the hell else wants to know about Human Development in Aotearoa, which is the Maori name for NZ for those of you who don't already know, which I guess would be most of you.

Morning Everyone!

Not good morning though, I thought I had a class at 10am this morning, but it turns out the classes for that course aren't starting until Wednesday, so I got up a 7am for nothing. I have completed all my enrolement details and have a new id card, and another 3 hours before my first class, yey for me! Was good and went to student job search today, but they didn't have anything going that would be appropriate for me, so I'm going to go to Pak 'n' Slave after class today and meet the personnel manager and get me an application form. I'm probably far to over qualified for them to hire me anyways!
So, I moved into my new flat yesterday, and what fun that was. I got up at 6.30am on a Sunday morning, so not a fun thing to do. We had to go out to Mahinerangi to get my stuff, which is an hour and a half drive into the middle of nowhere, which is where my brother lives, good thing too, as it wouldn't do for him to live too close. Though that is probably going to be changing soon too, BUGGER!
Um, don't have internet at the moment, have to wait till I can afford to pay the transfer fee to my new place, so I'm stuck at uni using the computers there at the moment, which isn't too bad seeing as I'm going to be spending a lot of time here anyway, and at least it's warm.
Ok, I think I've been staring at this screen for far too long, will catch you all later.

Moving

So, I finally found a flat to move into, this morning actually, and I'm moving in tomorrow. How's that for fast work?
It's near the beach and the salt water pool, which is what I wanted. It's also pretty close to 3 high schools, and if I'm lucky I'll end up being posted at 1 of them, during my placements for teaching this year, and if all works out, I might be there next year too.
The owner and my flatmate seems like a really nice guy. He's 30, and is going to be a cop, should be enough to keep my brother away don't you think?
So, now all I have to do is find a job nearby which shouldn't be too difficult, as there are lots of places near there, I just have to get off my butt and do something about getting work, plus there is always student job search, will sign up there on Monday. Hopefully I can get work in the next week, so I won't be too broke this coming month.
Anyway, that does be all the news I have to report, as there has not been much nappening here, though I am glad to say that there has been some sun here, took bloody long enough to get here though!

Happy New Year Everyone

ok, so I know it's a little late, but I have been busy, working sleep eating, looking for somewhere to live (which I hope I have found today, will find out tonight). So today is Mum's birthday, isn't she lucky that I even remembered.
Went shopping today as well as yesterday, aren't I a bad girl.
I had a pretty boring New Year, just spent it with family. Had a good weekend last weekend though, went out on Friday night and watched movies with a friend. Was supposed to see Bevan, Kris and Baby Jessica on Saturday, but they left and didn't call me, they better call me on the way back through or little Jess might just become and orphan.
The weather has finally improved, today has been a great day, though I am holding no hopes whatsoever of the weather being good tomorrow.
Um, spoke to Kat the other day, and all is well in Taiwan
, well except for the cold. Wouldn't know how Sarah is, she never emails anyone.
Oh well, I hope everyone enjoyed the holidays and I wish you all luck in 2007!
