Holidays at last

I finally have a week off from everything, and I don't even have to go to work until Friday which is great, time to do whatever I want to do, like sleep in, read and do cross-stitch, it's just unfortunate that I also have quite a bit of study to get done.
I'm in the middle of dispute with a government department or two at the moment as well because it seems I was given some incorrect information from one of the said departments and now I have to give them a shitload of information that I would willingly have given them a long time ago but was actually brushed off when I asked about what I had to do. So, what I think is their fault is apparently mine. Very not happy about this, definitely going to complain, a lot!
Not a lot has been happening lately, except for me getting sick at the end of last week, and walking around like a zombie for the last few days, man head colds suck, runny noses, sore throats and feeling incredibly dizzy all the time. Why does this only ever happen to me when I have holidays? It's not like I want to spend the whole time recovering, there is a chance that I may actually want to do some other interesting things as well, not a great chance, but a chance all the same.
So, today I am haveing lunch with my cousin, she's up from Invers to go to the hospital yet again, so that should be entertaining to say the least, well, if I don't kill her that is. Hope everyone is well and enjoying themselves, the weather here had been lulling us into a false sense of warmth again coz it's about it turn to shit very soon, but at least spring is just around the corner and the theoretically summer, but summers here are never what they should be.
Oh well, later all. Catch you soon. And Kat, it's definitely your turn to call.

In addition...

There is something to add to the me locking Sarah in the car episode. This morning when I took the car back to my Dad, there was absolutely nothing wrong with the lock on the passenger door. So, I have come to the conclusion that the problem was not with the car, but with Sarah, and I imagine that she will not be particularly impressed when she reads this, so it's a good thing she left for Ashburton this afternoon. Though, she had better not take her vengeance on the books she borrowed from me, the latest LKH, the latest Steph and all my Kresley Cole's, or she will most definitely die. I'm also sure I would have some help in this as I know that there are others who believe that damaging books is sacrilege, so Sarah be warned there are consequences.

Guess what I did...

I managed to lock Sarah in Dad's truck and she couldn't get out. Hehehe, she had to climb over the driver's seat to get out. Not entirely sure how this happened, just know that it did and that the passenger door wouldn't unlock at all. Rather funny I thought.
She forgot that I got my hair cut too, so she almost didn't recognise me, good thing i had my glasses on and not my contacts or she may have had a real problem. Then, she said, "When did you get your nose pierced?" I'm pretty sure that this was mentioned on more than one occasion over the last 9 months, but I could be wrong of course (but we know I'm not).
So, what have I been doing this last week. Well, as you all should know Monday was my birthday. So I went shopping, handed in two essays, watched a house fire, saw some snow, went to a tupperware party and stayed at Sera and Mark's coz thats where the tupperware party was and it's on the other side of the city from where I live. Other than that the week has been pretty boring. Wrote an entire essay in less than 2 hours on Thursday and handed it in so I don't have to go to uni on Monday to hand it in. Um, have worked the last couple of days, yesterday I convinced WINZ to pay for the root canal I had done in April, so yey, I don't have to pay for it myself.
So, yeah, Sarah is here with me now, she's sleeping over here tonight and right now is looking at my cross-stitch stuff.
I think this is all I have to say and if I do think of anything else to write I'll probably forget to put it in here anyway. So, Kat, Mornay, I'll probably talk to you soon since Kat says she should be visiting Taipei sometime in the next couple of weeks, talk to you then, in the case of everyone else, Saionara dudes.

Finally read Harry Potter

So yeah, I finally got a copy of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, and read the whole thing on Sunday night/Monday morning. Finished at 5am on Monday morning and it was a damned good thing that I didn't have any classes on Monday coz I didn't wake up until 1.30 in the afternoon.
I actually rather enjoyed it, it ended everything really well, may have been a bit of a challenging read for some younger readers, but I like the way things turned, this coming from someone who was absolutely determined to hate Harry Potter from the time the books got famous and had no intention of ever reading the books or seeing the movies. I guess I must have changed my mind sometime over the last 7 years or so.
I worked my first close at Maccas last night, I thought I would finish work as midnight, turns out thats not how it actually works and I didn't finish till 12.30, but that was ok my manager gave me a ride home coz its apparently not safe to walk the streets here at night alone, what I would give to feel as safe as i did when I was living in Korea, a place where they don't close parks at night and a lone woman feels safe walking around at night.
Well, I suppose I should get back to work now, 2 assignments due on Monday, and what a wonderful birthday present that is. Plus, I should probably make my bed since I just took all the sheets off and threw them in the washing machine, as it is a lovely day today, actually warm enough for me to wear a skirt, which I am actually doing, so be careful not to have a heart attack at those words. Anyway, time to stop procrastinating, catch you all later.

So, its been a while

Well, I have been busy, but I have also been lazy. I did start to write a blog like 4 days ago but I couldn't be bothered completing it.
So, you may ask what has been happening lately. Well, I finished that evil evil job at Pak 'n' Slave last Saturday, and no I didn't abuse those two evil evil people I happened to work with, though Craig begged me to punch the most evil one in the face I managed to resist the temptation. Hell, I even managed to get my uniform dried and returned on Sunday so that they would have to pay me all my holidays and everything this week, yey! And Yey! it was too, I had enough money to pay the phone bill, the power bill, get my hair cut and buy the new Laurell K Hamilton book, The Harlequin.
So, the other days of this last week, well, on Monday it pissed down and I thought it was necessary to go to the supermarket, but the time I got home and was totally and utterly drenched it didn't seem as necessary as it had been before I went. Si I huddled in front of the fire to get all nice and warm. I think my flatmates were about ready to kiss me when they got home and found the lounge nice and warm too, as they got almost as wet as I did, but they have a car and I don't.
Tuesday and Wednesday were pretty boring, but I started my new job at Macca's on Tuesday night, it was interesting to say the least, but Wednesday night went a lot better, and now I only have to work from 11am-8pm tomorrow, which will probably come close to killing me, but hey why not. I just have to go stay at Mum and Dad's after work so that I can feed the bloody dog, he's almost 14, so why the hell hasn't he learned to feed himself yet?
Yesterday was the day that I paid all the bills and got my hair cut, though this time it is shorter than ever before, I'm not sure if I like it or not yet, and it looks so strange because all the colour has been cut out of it, so its now all natural and rather dark as it turns out. After that I went and bought the new LKH book, and I read the whole thing last night, finished it at 2.30 this morning. So now I know exactly what happened, unlike some people I know who don't have copies yet (I know exactly who is waking Marmee Noir and why it's happening, do you?)
And now we have reached today, I have class in an hour and half, it will be the last time I have class on a Friday, so as of next week, I shall only have classes on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, how great is that? And because I am only working nights now (I have 2 late shifts next week, till midnight on Wednesday and till 1am on Friday) I don't have to get up really early in the morning any more!
Tomorrow, I have work and then I have to go to the parents place, since everyone is away this weekend. Mum is helping the pain in the butt brother move house and Dad is away to Auckland for some yachting meeting, I wonder what trouble I can get into all by myself.
I suppose I should go and eat something now and the washing machine sounds like it's almost done. But, before I go I should remind everyone that it is now only 10 days until my all important 26th birthday, so now you have no excuse for forgetting, okay?
